Gradual addition of hot water form solar collector to the pool will make the whole pool water hot, but the amount of heat released by the solar radiation is directly related with their intensity because in cloudy seasons these solar collectors dose not exchange their heat absorbed to the water input in it. Therefore solar collectors need intense solar radiation to work properly. Solar collectors can also be used in connection with heat pumps and conventional swimming pool heater if it is do so they can reduce the fuel cost up to 50 to 60%. However solar swimming pool heaters can be made more efficient if they are used with solar blankets, that are a transparent thin sheet creating a green house effect on water, as it absorb heat radiation directly from the sun and entrap these radiation in water keeping and maintaining its temperature to a definite range.
These blankets are commonly used in homemade solar heating for swimming pools. Pool solar heaters are good in their use but still they have some limitations as they required best weather conditions to work properly but still in that areas which have abundantly sunlight solar powered swimming pool heater system is very successful, particularly home or private swimming pool solar pool heater is more preferred as compared to swimming pool gas heaters as they are fuel savers. Home owner sometime can not bear fuel expanses for their heating systems.
