Track Running

Track running is very popular running event which is considered an essential part of athletics in Olympic Games. Track running started in 19th century with the beginning of modern Olympics. The trend fist introduced in schools and colleges, students took keen interest to modernize such events as well as the success of the games and soon these games were introduced at multinational platform along with international standards. Governing bodies took the responsibilities for the development of such track running events, track runners, proper training, cash prize and championships on regular basis. They also establish infra structure in schools, college, universities, in many sport local and training clubs for the improvement of running events, running reputation in the people and betterment of runners. It was due to this healthy tread that now United States has largest number of Runners. Their associations and clubs host most of the running events in a year as compared to other European countries which are the inventors of running games.

Initially in track running only men runners were allowed to participate, women were first time introduced in track running events in 1928 summer Olympic Games. After that female track runners contributed a lot by setting many national and international records like track runner Wilma Rudolph made a historic victory in track running and enlighten the name of women in track running history. Similarly another woman Jesse Owens the track runner achieved tremendous victory and was a source of pride for both the game and for the female runners as well. Now a day in many other track running events there is no age limit, even children and older people can also participate if they complete the trial round. There are two kinds of track running events one is indoors and the other one is outdoors. Indoor events are normally played in winter period and outdoor events are normally played in spring or summer seasons.

Olympic track runners have to cover the distance of 3 to 4 laps and the track is usually in oval shape. Other running events like steeple chase, discus, hammer throw, javelin are played on the same track. The track surface is usually made of rubber having 6 lines. The track runners strictly follow the boundaries of the track while running or they can be eliminated form the game if they don’t follow the rules. Track running is a game of passion and pride too. In huge events like Olympics and athletics championships people use track running cartoons made of different colors on playing cards to boost their runner or to support their favorite players.

Cartoon track runner can also be seen on billboards with quotes for track runners in the days of mega sports events like Olympics. Such cartoons are also used for symbolic representation of any running association or clubs. In schools such cartoon are used to induce or increase a passion and interest of running events in KG level students. In such schools, students get chances to become a track runner. They are also taught how to become a track runner and how to polish their talent. Such school organize meeting with famous track runners for the interest of their students and to promote the talent in the group of seniors related to this field. International governing bodies of track running arrange many workshops and training sessions for the training of their member runners to perform better in the event. In such camps they learned many tips for track sprinters to run faster and also diet and physical fitness treatments, muscle training, as track runner leg muscles should be strong enough to run fast.
